BIG Fashion Hair Care
You'd Look Better as a Brunette Blondes may have more fun, but brunettes are the bread-winners. We are taken seriously at our jobs, we look stellar in a pair of glasses, and no blonde has ever rocked a smokey eye like us.
Boasting a few blonde highlights (or going all the way) can be a fun change for summer but, with heavy weather upon us, it's time to go back to your roots (or the roots you wish you had). We're wearing darker colors now, so here's some tips on getting hair to match the wardrobe. |||If you're a natural blonde who has finally seen the light, and decided to go dark, may we be the first to say, "Welcome!" Going brunette is your best option, and brown wears well on everyone.

Don't be afraid. We're not all born with a brunette's good judgment, and blondes can sometimes be fearful of dying their whole head dark. You may have considered starting out with a few red highlights, just to warm things up. Be forewarned. Red hair dye can react with your natural blonde strands, creating an unwanted pick hue. We advised nervous blondes going brown for the first time to start out with some rich lowlights. This will ease you through the transition. But remember, once you go black you never go back. We've got a good feeling you'll take your lowlights to a full head of rich dark locks real soon.

Try a temporary color, and test the waters. It may feel like money down the drain (literally), because the color only lasts a few weeks, but you gotta do what you've gotta do and we suggest taking whatever steps necessary to cross over to the "Dark Side." Now, if you're brave enough to go all out and embrace the change, we've got another tip for you. Most blondes have a darker undertone to their natural color. Visit a professional colorist, and start your journey to brunette with the color you've already got. This change will be less shocking, and will ultimately make you a convert.

Whatever you do, don't forget to dye your eyebrows. "Dye my eyebrows?!" you say. YES. You're not going to like the new locks if it looks like your naturally light eyebrows disappeared off your face. There's a heightened contrast in wearing darker hair, just look at Kim Kardashian. That girl's got style brows for days, and she rocks them! Have fun with your eyebrows. If you're afraid of dying them (and don't be, you'll be shocked at how quickly they grow out), get a darker pencil and color them in. Give yourself a higher arch while you're at it. It'll make you look smart.|||Hair & Compounds is a wholesale hair manufacturer and distributor to the entertainment and professional salon industries. You have succumbed to peer pressure and damaged your luxurious natural locks for a little "blonde fun." We're losing brunettes every day.

You may have noticed, it's really hard to get a nice shade of natural-looking blonde. There's a reason for that - we are Better as Brunette. You may have wanted to spend your summer as fun-loving flirtatious blonde, but you likely ended it as an awkwardly tangerine-tinged wannabe. It's high time your return to your sensible brunette roots and see a professional to fix that mess. But, for shame or lack of funds (after splurging on peroxide all summer), we can understand why you may need to handle this situation in the privacy of your own home. Here's a few tips to DIY.

Be aware that every head of hair is different - even the naturally superior brunette heads. Always designate a test patch of hair before covering your whole head. Try starting slow with a medium brown or medium ash brown in a box, depending on light you've taken your hair. Make sure that color you choose doesn't have a lot of red tones (no auburn or chestnut shades). If you pick a chestnut brown to cover your existing orange-blonde hybrid, you might end up a ginger. And, no one - we mean NO ONE - wants to be a ginger.

Now, if you're a lucky brunette who was magically able to obtain true creamy blonde tresses, be careful about going back to black. It's tempting, after living a lie all summer, to be rash about dying your hair back to its natural state. But choose your shade wisely. Some brown tones - ash browns and blacks in particular - contain underlying blue and green tones. Combine that with your current yellow toe-head and you're going to have a green head of hair. Not cute.

Make the transition in two stages. Start with a golden blonde, leave the color in for 25 - 30 minutes until your hair has ripened to rich shade of gold. Wash and repeat with a medium brown. Be careful not to go too dark too quick. We condone lighter brunette shades, just not blondes. And, always beware of the dreaded ginger.|||a%3A6%3A%7Bs%3A12%3A%22display_html%22%3Bs%3A2%3A%22on%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22period%22%3Bs%3A6%3A%22172800%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22rss_display%22%3Bs%3A3%3A%22100%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22rss_extract%22%3Bs%3A3%3A%22100%22%3Bs%3A11%3A%22rss_results%22%3Bs%3A1%3A%225%22%3Bs%3A7%3A%22rss_url%22%3Bs%3A34%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Fbigfashionbigstyle.com%2Ffeed%22%3B%7D Fetching RSS feed... please stand by Related articles:
